Oopera
Oopera coats are made for real weather and still feel like a treat to put on. Many are reversible, so you get two looks from one coat, and the water-repellent finish should see you through a passing shower. You'll find Oopera in the heart of Salisbury and online.
Start with the reversible hooded coats. Turn one inside out and it becomes a different coat: olive gold that swaps to black, or a grey and gold print that brings the gold forward on the reverse. The hoods are deep and soft. The swing shape leaves room for a chunky knit underneath.
Oopera's crinkle coats are the ones to pack. The fabric has a soft sheen that shifts as you move, and it is far less likely to crease in a suitcase or on the back seat of the car. The shapes are easy, from an open coat with wide lapels to a hip-length jacket with a drawstring waist.
The label began in New York's Fashion District and is now based in Los Angeles. It is also known for its art coats, printed with paintings by Klimt, Monet and van Gogh.
We think these are coats you'll reach for winter after winter. Pop in and try one on, or shop the range online.
