Annie Sherburne Jewellery
Annie Sherburne makes brooches, pendants and earrings by hand, setting each one with vintage glass stones, many of them dating back to the 1940s. Dachshunds, Scottie dogs, hummingbirds, dragonflies and butterflies: every piece comes out a little different, so the one you choose is yours alone. You'll find her jewellery here at OSO, online and in our shop in Salisbury.
We were drawn to Annie's work by the colour. Each brooch is a small mosaic of faceted stones in deep reds, cornflower blues, amber and violet, with flashes of iridescent inlay that shift as you move. Pin one to a coat lapel and it tends to be all an outfit needs.
The range we carry covers animal and insect brooches in several colourways, a heart pendant with a pearl-look peace sign, statement cross necklaces on long antique gold-tone chains, and heart drop earrings. Because the stones are vintage and set by hand, colours vary from piece to piece, and we photograph each colourway on its own so you can see exactly what you are choosing.
Annie's late husband sourced vintage crystal glass from old Czechoslovakian factories in the 1980s for their London shops. Those same stones still find their way into her designs today.
Her pieces make a lovely gift for anyone who likes a little colour on a dark winter coat. Pop in and see them in person, and we'll happily help you pick the right colour for someone special.
