American Vintage
American Vintage is a French label, not an American one, founded in Marseille in 2005 by Michaël Azoulay. The idea started with a single product: a reinvented T-shirt, brushed and softened, built to feel lived-in from the first wear. That focus on fabric and feel has carried through as the brand grew into a full wardrobe of basics.
Natural fibres do the work. Cotton, wool and alpaca blends run through the range, chosen for how they wear over time rather than how they photograph on day one. The palette leans into washed, vintage-inflected colour, faded blacks, chalky pinks, sun-worn oranges, so pieces sit together easily whatever season they were bought in.
Our American Vintage edit at OSO Boutique centres on the Sonoma T-shirt, the label's signature piece, in a rotating run of colours, alongside the Atubay sweatshirt, Vitow alpaca-wool jumpers and cardigans, and the Damsville cropped rib knit. Denim comes through the Yopday sleeveless shirt and black five-pocket jeans, and the Padow corduroy shirt rounds out the line.
